• School Social Workers play a crucial role in the CHCCS district by removing barriers to children’s academic, social and emotional success through our work with students, families, school faculty/staff, and community support agencies.

We play an integral role in the district’s efforts to close the achievement gap by supporting the most fragile students and families.

We do this through working directly with families and children, consulting and collaborating with school staff, participating on school teams, and creating connections and relationships through our outreach with community agencies and organizations.
