Opportunities for Gifted Students
1) Science Olympiad
A state and national event based on STEM categories. Students can pick three events of their choice and also work in a team. Check out the link above to explore and learn more about it.
2) NaNoWriMo
If you are a creative writer or have imagination, write a novel by clicking on the website above.
National Novel Writing Month is a fun, empowering approach to creative writing. The challenge: draft an entire novel in just one month. For 30 wild, exciting, surprising days, you get to lock away your inner editor, let your imagination take over, and just create!
3) Robotics
Robotics is an interdisciplinary branch of electronics and communication, computer science and engineering. Robotics involves the design, construction, operation, and use of robots. The goal of robotics is to design machines that can help and assist humans. We at Culbreth started with a robotics club last year with the help of parents.
