  • Many of our academic support programs have their own processes for assessment and evaluation. Please see the links below to learn more about how these programs determine student eligibility to receive special services from the district.

    English as a Second Language (ESL)

    English as a Second Language services are offered to students in grades PreK-12 who are learning English but are not yet proficient. Contact the ESL department for more information about testing.

     

    Exceptional Children: Referral, Evaluation & Placement

    Governor's School of North Carolina

    The Governor's School of North Carolina is a summer residential program for intellectually gifted high school students. The program integrates academic disciplines, the arts, and unique courses.
