VLA started in Fall of 2021 and is the first Virtual High School in CHCCS.

VLA currently has 63 students, six teachers, and one adminstrator.

VLA currently offers 16 live classes in the subjects of English, Math, Spanish, Art, and CTE.

VLA students are also taking online classes in 49 different subjects at North Carolina Virtual Public School, mostly in the subjects of Science, Health, Social Studies, and various AP classes.

VLA is on a block schedule; students take four classes a semester.

VLA students can check out a Chromebook from the district.

VLA students can be involved in athletics and extra-curricular activities at their home school.
